DIRECTORS
LBA's Directors bring together trade-based knowledge, technical expertise, and commercial discipline — with foundations in building, quantity surveying, and carpentry.
They remain actively involved across all stages of a project: shaping how work is planned, coordinated, and executed, and guiding key decisions from early engagement through to completion. Their hands-on approach ensures that quality, programme, and cost stay aligned — and that every project is delivered with rigour, consistency, and intent.
HISTORY
LBA (Len Bogatin & Associates) was founded in 1985 by Len Bogatin and Denis Mathieson.
Established with the intention of bringing the structure, systems and client focus of commercial construction into the residential sector, the business was formed around a clear commitment to professionalism in home building.
With experience spanning both residential and commercial construction, Len and Denis identified an opportunity to raise standards within the residential market through greater discipline, coordination and delivery capability. This focus continues to underpin LBA’s approach today.
Remaining as a family-led business, LBA is led by Directors Len, along with Simon Mathieson, Adam Bogatin and David Burgess. The company has grown to a robust team of over 80 skilled and experienced professionals and tradespersons, united by a commitment to integrity, accountability and doing what is right.
Today, LBA is recognised as one of Melbourne’s established architectural builders, delivering projects defined by quality, clarity and technical excellence.
